Dry Ridge System Installations in Doncaster, Sheffield, and Rotherham
Dry ridge system installations are designed to replace the mortar used for the ridge and are available in a variety of designs, all of which provide similar performance.
The purpose of a dry ridge system is to secure the tiles which are situated at the apex of a roof. Traditional mortar joints are replaced by plastic inserts (unions) which resemble a mortar joint and have their own concealed weather proofing structure to guide the water away.
A ventilated strip will be placed between the ridges and the tiles on the sloping roof, ensuring that moist air is expelled from beneath the tiles.
Plastic inserts are installed which follow the contours of the tiles and a corrugated adhesive roll is stuck to the tiled surface on hip roofs or the apex.
